Follow these simple steps to add a contact form to a page on your WordPress blog or website:
Login to your WordPress account and go to the Admin Dashboard.
Select “Plugins” from the navigation on left side. Click “Add New”.
Type “contact form 7” in the search box and hit Enter. Click “Install Now” button.
Plugin will start installing. Once done, you will be required to activate the plugin. Click “Activate Plugin”.
The plugin is installed. You can see a button named “Contact” on the left navigation. Click on it.
A contact form is created by default. There is a Shortcode which you will be using to include this contact form in your page or blog post. It’s simple as that.
To edit a contact form, click “Edit” under the form title.
You can customize the form labels and form controls from the “Form” tab. You can also add new fields to your form like phone, attachments, captcha, etc.
To configure mail settings, click on “Mail” tab. Here you can configure the email where you want to receive responses from this contact form. You can also configure the email template here.
Lastly, you can also customize the messages and alerts user will see in different scenarios. e.g. error messages, form submission success message, etc. Click on “Messages” tab to configure these settings.
